Honestly if CLB do get both in the same trade, they will be giving wayyyy too much. If they do target these players, the will be seen as desperate and will be taken advantage of, leading to a pretty big overpay

Put Scheif on the wing and they are very similar players. I won't deny is 40 goal season but his metrics indicate he was just carried by the guys around him, and folded like a fish on dry land when it mattered. Dude is way too overrated on this site.

At least Nylander actually showed up in the playoffs this year.

Honestly don’t want to pay the price for either of them. Laine and Scheifele don’t have the best track record and Columbus is intent on building around Laine. As for Helly, hes a great goalie, but he is also primed for a major pay raise and I’m not sure how much I’d want to pay a goalie over the age of 32 on a long term deal. I also think for better or for worse Columbus is going to run with Elvis and see if they can get him back on track before everything happened. I don’t think his awful numbers were solely on him, some of the blame has to be on the horrid d core in front of him too.
