Drury says no chance but offers Will Cuylee and a 2nd round pick for JJ Peterka.

Sabres are playoff team and we can’t put our season in the hands of a rookie goalie. Doesn’t make sense. They need a starting goalie.

Yeah NYR doesn't do that. It is simple, they simply don't need to.

I see your point but Sabres have cap space and rangers do not and he has been a bust for the rangers. JJ rookie season is Alex L is on par with his best season. If you look from an unbiased view point you would see it is a fair trade.

They have no cap space and players to resign.

Run Goodrow though buyout calculator here on capfriendly and you see soon that they'll do have cap.

It is very rare and one case doesn’t make your point. But more importantly Binnington played over 150 AHL and three season before he made the jump. To expect a kid with 7 professional games under his belt to play 60 NHL games is just crazy. I think he is going to be a stud. but why put him under that stress this early in his career.

LOL. Laffy has been misused by Gallant with limited minutes in the bottom 6 and no PP time, which will all change. No chance on your absurd trade offer.

Sure u could make it work but is he really worth it. Because you will have some big contracts coming up in next couple years and no salary coming off the books.

A touch low on the avalanche trade, likely would have to add a third this year or next year.

The year after this season 23-24 both Kreider and Trouba gets modified no move, and can therefore be traded. And cap will most likely go up. I do not see the issue at all. Drury knew he would be forced to buyout Goodrow that is why that contract looks the way it does. And after that Panarin's awful contract ends.

It has been three years and he has shown no signs of him turning it around. Sabres rookies (Quinn and JJ) played less minutes and
No PP time and still produced at the same rate. If he was that good it wouldn’t matter his coach he would play.

It is essentially moving up 9 spots. I believe value is pretty fair.

The difference is I watched every Ranger game he has played, and he has been misused from day 1. He is also only 21, so the fact that he hasn't lived up to your expectations is meaningless, the Rangers are happy with him. And if he is a bust as you say, why do you want him? Wait, don't answer, I already know why. No thanks to your absurd trade offer.

It is a gamble. Could he turn it around maybe. But I don’t believe he will ever live up to 1st overall pick. I just think Sabres have a really young core and he could grow with them and would be best chance he has. If he was a second round pick the value I had in trade is crazy over pay. Only reason you will get any value is because where he was drafted.

Who cares if he lives up to hype of being a 1st overall pick? He has a ton of potential and will be a very good player for a lot of years and that's why fans of many other teams want him. No need for the Rangers to trade him at all.

Except Hart isn't really any better than UPL. In the past 3 years:

Goalie 1: 44-58-22 .900 3.16
Goalie 2: 45-20-19 .897 3.47

Hart has more experience, and yet sadly less wins.

You're giving up a 1st and a solid, young, cost-controlled RD (which we need), for what is basically a lateral move in talent.
