Description

By not trading any of our players such as Boeser, Garland, Myers we increase their trade value since a year would be cut from their contracts. Boeser would be at 1 year and would be easy to retain and would land us a quality pick and we could retain and probably get a good pick for Garland as well. As for Myers we wouldn't have to give up a pick to dump him off to anyone.

I think this team will be better this year mainly because of a healthy Demko.

IMO patience is the best method for the canucks since they always are trying create shortcuts.

Myers would be a ufa but I guess his value is still going up. They should move him if they can, being competitive is more important than getting keeping good assets because that will help them retain their great assets.

Team is crowded upfront on the wings, so they should move one if Boeser or Garland, they will need the cap as well.

I think this is a really plausible future. You would need to still get a 3C though. Dries isn't enough. And Wolanin over Hirose. And switch Bear and Hronek. And Garland with Beauviller.

I think this is the most likely. Allvin does like to make trades. I think with Myers bonus coming so late in the offseason that most of the trades will happen in season. Hope for career years from boeser, garland or beauvillier to up their value at trade deadline.

Wholeheartedly agree that this is our best course of action.

We should be able to deal Beau & Myers for some picks too (and retain if necessary), as we get closer to the trade deadline.

Also just as an fyi I'd say you're a bit low on Bear and Hoglander's next deals.

Evolving Hockey has Bear at $2.7m x3 and Hoglander at $1.4m x2

I see a gaping hole at 3c and on the backend.

could swing a hockey trade at the TDL moving Boes, Beuavillier, Garland, Hog, Podz, or Mikheyev for a 3C

Then address the defense next offseason when Myers is off the books and OEL could potentially be bought out or traded (prob not tho)

tbh tho I think youre right, less is more
