Pulli is on the roster as a scratch because if he doesn’t make the team his European assignment clause is activated. I think he will replace Vlasic or Knyzhov eventually.

Caps pass. They might interested in a Labanc swap.

Labanc with retention or straight up? 1for1 is pretty fair for Mantha

NSH easily passes. All of the prospects NSH doesn't need given they have a lot of wing prospects already nor are they the quality of return that Saros would demand. That leaves the picks and a 1st and 2nd isn't getting Saros and Fabbro + picks.

Ferraro Gregor and Zett are all established NHL players that still have quality upside. There are no prospects here and you are essentially getting two first round picks because NJ is going to be a beast next year. Ferraro is a top 4 defender, Gregor is one of the fastest players in the league and could easily get 20 next year and Zett is a middle six tank.

I guess if you thought they were prospects in the first place you probably don’t know the kind of value on offer here.

I have a hard time seeing Nashville accept any offer without a 2023 1st. Fabbro, the 2nd round pick, and the 3rd cancel out the value that the other pieces provide. It's just not enough

Not the right kind of return. Nashvilles already full up on LH dmen and we already have alot coming up on wings. Just not the right style of return.

4 overall for Saros is just a massive overpay no offense.

Edit Ah you mean just any 2023 first not sharks specifically.

what does NSH need then, centers?

I think SJ would move NJ's 23' pick, and NJ's conditional 2nd to 1st, but probably not any other 1sts.

I am pretty sure that Tomasino, Paarsinen and Svechkov are/were centers. Regardless Ferraro, Gregor and Zetterlund are no longer prospects but full time players and Gregor and Zett are major breakout candidates. Their loss IMO.

Svechkov is a center but more of the middle 6 variety. Tomasino is not. Parssinen is a center too though of unknown ability as a 7th rounder you dont expect much but has impressed at every level so far. We need a true top C

Tomasino is listed as a C on EliteProspects, hockeyDB and NHL dot com.

Has played maybe 4-5 games as a C in the AHL when Parssinen first got called up. Has played the rest of his AHL and NHL games at wing.

Lot of players develop better as wingers in the NHL.

They havent really attempted to develop him as a center for 3 seasons now sans a handful of games. At this point, i imagine theyve made the decision that he wont make it at C

Probable. Some guys are just better on the wing. Hertl had his first 2.5 years on the wing in the NHL but developed into a C really well. He was a natural center.
