You’re not getting Sissons. I don’t think he’s a guy that the Preds would move, especially when we have more than enough substance to get DeBrincat without including him

That's fine, what would you replace?

Obviously Saros is out of the equation, right? What are you thinking, 15th overall plus a prospect/young player? Preds have the picks and Preds have the cap space for DeBrincat and who wouldn't want to live in Nashville for the next 8 years?

I think we need a genuine top 6 C instead of wingers. We can fill the wing slots but we need more established players down the middle. The price proposed is fine for Cat, and I'm not opposed to moving Sissons if Ottawa wanted him.

Although, I think Nashville should definitely be in the PLD sweepstakes rather than Cat.
In a PLD trade I'd be open to moving the 24OA and someone like L'Heureaux.

If a Debrincat to Nashville deal happens, it may have Saros as a center piece. I’d be looking at a meaningful asset + Debrincat for Saros

Cat has more value than saros thus NSH would be adding

I feel like Ottawa wouldn’t do this. It’s the later 1st and an older roster player instead of one of the youngsters

You are overvaluing Saros, here, by a lot.

It's a moot point, anyway. Nashville is not in the habit of spending huge money on wingers.

The goalie market is at an all time high in terms of value. Saros is a top 3 goalie in the league. He gonna fetch a sh-t ton, and he doesn’t even need to be traded. It would really have to take an offer like that for it to even be considered

Bros on a real Saros hating streak 💀

Hope you get over it soon, so you can see how magical of a player he is

I don’t think Nashville would be willing to include Saros in a Debrincat trade, but I think Ottawa would be willing to include Debrincat in a Saros trade.

Debrincat is also rumored to want out, so there isn’t a ton of leverage for Ottawa. For Ottawa’s sake, hopefully they can pull off a deal like Calgary did with Tkachuk. Ottawa is trading him after a down year, so it may be tough to maximize the return. That being said, I think NSH would have to accept the original offer here.

I would hope for less quantity more quality than the offer here. I don;t care that much about the picks, want 2 roster players. Or a quality asset I could use in another trade

I love Sissons types but what am I missing here? Not a player that would be "untouchable" in a trade for a 25 y/o legit 1st liner, come on.

But understand if you'd rather use other pieces. But what then?

Are you saying you would expect a "meaningful asset" on TOP of DeBrincat for Saros? That would be extremely silly

The goalie market is not at an all-time high. It is swinging in favor of the player at the moment, I will agree. This still doesn't mean you aren't overvaluing Saros. Also, not a top 3 in the league, which affirms my assertion at overvaluing him. He is a very good goalie, that is not up for debate, but not top 3.

Not a chance. Nashville does not spend big on wingers, they value centers. Also, Nashville has no reason to trade Saros, right now.

C'mon, lol.

The goalie market is not at an all time high, Saros is not a top 3 goalie (Vasi, Sorokin, Shesterkin imo), and Debrincat's value well over Saros'.

There are 4 guys that belong in the debate to be top three: Shesty, Sorokin, Vasy, and Saros. That isn’t up for debate. I would say Saros is 4 at the LOWEST.

Teams are increasingly desperate for goalies, and PHI reportedly has teams hooked on Hart at the price tag of 2 1sts. There’s no way Saros doesn’t get value equivalent or more to that. This affirms what I said about the goalie market - I can’t name the last time that a team would pay multiple high level assets for one goalie

Nashville’s highest paid forward is a winger. Duchene is tied for the second highest paid forward on the team, and he’s also spent a good amount of time on the wing.

As for Saros, I agree with you. It’s not like Nashville is shopping him around. That’s why it would take a crazy offer for Nashville to move him. I believe it was reported today Nashville was asking for two firsts and two blue chip prospects, meaning Saros isn’t getting moved.

Right now, yeah... Historically, they value Centers. Thanks for the easy input from a site that we are currently posting in.
