That Vancouver trade is bad. Garland isn't worth a 1st round pick and Bear isn't going to get a QO and will be a UFA.

Hawks probably consider that depending on how they value Puustinen. Value is pretty close.

Canucks accept and their entire management team runs to the nearest saloon to celebrate.

I am passing on Puustinen as we already have Bedard, Reichel, Nazar pencilled into the lineup soon, and you can't keep adding the same size and shape player. My counter would be Granlund #14OA '26 2nd for #19OA & #89 OA. Puustinen should give then Pens a cheap depth scorer and I assume they are moving Granlund to add to try to win now so keep an NHL ready prospect makes more sense than a future 2nd.

I think Bear gets a 1-2 year extension, he had his good moments last year, but he also adds some head-scratching plays occasionally.

I'd also be pretty pissed if they let him walk for nothing considering he's def our third best d-man rn outside of Hughes and Hronek

Allvin already joked that Bear earned a raise at year-end pressers. He did well this past year and I'm impartial if he stays or goes. I think he could land a deal like Jake Walman or a one year deal (and rights next year). It depends if they are aggressive to replace Myers or sit still.

Not interested in Puustinen, and he isn't worth much, if anything. Dumping Granlund costs significantly more than those 5 spots, IMO, and Puustinen doesn't make up for that.
