No. Not one bit. That is laughable.
Despite the regression in points, McDonagh is still terrific defensively.
Also, Murray has negative value.

If NSH is trading Saros, Nylander wouldn't be their target.

I don't think they would be thrilled to be retaining that money for that long, but they may be okay with it. Probably still need more value going to Nashville though, especially if Willy does not come with an extension.

Highly unlikely the Canucks move Demko, but if they did I’d accept that

That is a caveat I meant to include that it would be upon an extension, thanks for pointing that out.

'Laughable' lol give your head a shake. For the direction Nashville is going a 1st and a young stud, scoring forward make plenty of sense to add to the organization.

As for Murray, that's why it's for a 7th. You know what the point of the trade was but you're being intentionally obtuse lol

Last I checked, a 7th is still a positive.
Also, we're retooling, not rebuilding. Trotz wants the team to be competitive after the offseason, that's why Brunette was brought in. Nylander is a no-go for us. We are not going to commit to him long-term and give up a Vezina-quality goalie AND an solid defensive defenseman retained at 50%.
So I say, give your head a shake.
