Description
Only thing i’m not sure about is the COL trade. They need to sign Byram and Newhook and I’d assume Byram would take on a bigger role next year which leaves Girard the odd man out.

EDIT: RealIzed I put in the NYI 1st I meant to put in the 3 of DET’s 2nds. FIXED

You forgot to add in Crosby to the wings trade. It would be 1 van 2nd to move up 3 spots, not all those assets. That's just insane to think otherwise

You're asking for a massive overpay from Detroit there

Three 2nds to move up three spots?
Like that's enough to get like 20OA; would you trade 17OA+20OA for 14OA?

few things.

Think you need to remove 1 second in the detroit trade.

Notttt sure why Avs are sending a 1st and Girard for Legare and a 2nd? remove the 1st coming back and that's a better chance.

Think the b's trade is fine, but think you could give up POJ and a Second honestly.

Pass on bunting, there are better options.

Probably a bit over on DOC and Poehling too.

Girard is NOT the "odd man out" - the Avs want to keep him and will do so unless they get an offer they can't refuse. They would definitely refuse this offer.

That's a lot closer and I think Detroit would consider it

Like i mentioned unsure about that one, they do need to make room on the left side correct? what if Poulin is added? Bunting I like he’s a scrappy and quick middle 6 guy who’s relatively young. I’d be okay with the B’s trade as is, other teams could offer better so a little overpay with the 1st instead of 2nd might be needed. Yeah maybe more around the 1-1.2 range for them.

Add another 2nd, or something. As said, the three is likely able to move into the 20s.

Not sure on the "trade value" numbers that people get/use, but I feel as if four 2nds is more than fair.

Towes, Girard, and Byram make up the left side correct? I’d figure Byram needs to get paid and play in a top 4 role and I’d assume that Towes is more valued than Girard and I doubt Girard would play a 3LD role. What would you propose instead?

Poulin added to the Avs deal? I'm confused, they're not sending back a 1st and Girard for Poulin, Legare and a 2nd lol that's robbery. I know they have to make space, but it's not going to cost them a 1st to move a guy like Girard.

Bunting's two years in Toronto were spent mostly with Matthews at center and one of Marner or Nylander, personally think he takes a regression back if he's not playing with similar talent level, and even then i'd rather pay DOC/Poeh $1m, use the leftover cap you have there and pay Barbashev.

Just Google NHL draft pick value. You'll get plenty charts. I've been using the one from the Athletic. The penguins would probably have to throw in the NJ 3rd to make the value closer.

Both Girard and Byram can play either side and have in the past. Colorado loves Girard and have historically said they would only move him in a deal where they feel they are getting fair value back. Fair value is subjective, and the Avs front office thinks more highly of Girard than most of the people here.

I doubt they even consider moving him until they have an idea of what salaries Toews and Byram will be. Toews might price himself out of Colorado, in which case they keep Girard and move Toews.

And with Landeskog's injury, the have $20m in cap space going into next season. They don't need to "dump" anyone unless they feel like they are getting something valuable back.

Not even close for Girard even if the Avs needed or wanted to move him, and that's before factoring in the '23 1st on top.
