Hell no are we gonna eat ALL 3 of those contracts and give up Raddysh for 8 positions in the 1st round. I guess unless Michkov falls to 11...lol

Immediate no. TRad is a late 1st value (or we don't move him). Hawks would take one of Boeser or Garland to make something happen, but can't see both (unless you want Tyler Johnson or Zaitsev lol). Myers without his bonus paid is a significant dump like 2nd rounder to do it.

Why not? We have the cap space, and 1.11 is a pretty huge jump from 1.19 in this year's draft.

This trade basically puts TRad's value at pick #38, which is probably a little low relative to how Hawks likely value him. Then Hawks get the 3 players for free (at least in terms of trade assets). If Garland has neutral value, would the Hawks or Canucks take/use Boeser to pay for/dump Myers? I don't hate it from the Hawks side, but can see why they might not do it. I'm not certain Vancouver would be on board either.

I'm on the fence on this. I think the structure of the deal is sound, but maybe Van adds a 2nd? So it's (loosely) Boeser/1st for TRad (price is steep but you're getting a 20 goal scorer and shedding $6M of cap in one move), Garland for 1st, Myers/2nd as a dump. I like Garland and Boeser. They'll put up 50 points each likely. They make the Hawks competitive without making them good. And they could always be flipped at TDL with retention.

Although, I'm not sure if they make the Hawks "too good" to finish outside the top 5. I'm guessing the goal is to finish in the top 5 of the draft again and then make a move like this next year where you see additions that actually improve the team and players who fit a little more in the long term plans.
