    Cirelli's contract worries me. That's a lot of money for a guy who's had just two 40 point seasons in his career and was on track for 41 this year.

    Assuming taking into consideration Tampa taxes:

    6.25 for Cirelli and 3.5 ish for Colton
    8 for Cat at most and 2 for Branny on a 2 year deal

    They are a class act nowadays, and they don't sign a player to an 8 year extension only to turn around and trade him before it kicks in.

    TB says no period. So, you're absolutely correct they say no on retaining.

    Not going to debate the value of the trade. But Tampa Bay declines. Cirelli is exactly what a team wants at 2C. Goes hard every shift. Provides offense, great D, excellent penalty killer. He would be way to hard for Tampa to replace.
