It's funny, it seems like neutral fans look at paraykos contract as bad, possibly horrific. St Louis fans want multiple firsts for him, just to start the bidding.

He is still the best defensemen we have. Problem is we played him like he is a top 5D in the league with the matchups and minutes we gave him. Put him on the 2nd pair and he will play a lot better. Blues probably decline because he is more valuable to us than he is to outsiders. UPL is of no interest to the blues, Jokiharu is a bottom pairing defensemen and the 2nd is a draft away

It's exactly what Seversons contract is going to look like in a couple years

Idk if I was STL in be interested in a young goalie, especially if they can move that headcase Binnington in another deal. Then you have Hofer and UPL because odds are only one will work out. Jokiharju is 4-6 d-man with upside, who knows, he could find minutes and PP time with the Blues. And if a 2nd round pick is a throw in I just don’t know what to say to that lmao. I think this is the most value the Blues will get for unloading that deal.

No one is taking Binnington without multiple firsts attached to him so he's going to stay. Binningotn and Hofer will be the tandem for the next 2 years at the least. Plus we have Zherenko doing well in his first season in the AHL. Blues will have Krug on the PP1 and most likely perunovich on PP2 so not much room for Jokiharju. My whole thinking is that no one will offer the blues what they want for Parayko so they will keep him. He's more valuable to us than to the rest of the league right now. The best thing for the blues is to hire their new assistant coaches and completely change the defensive structure as well as reducing Parayko's minutes/matchups. See if he can regain his form and if he looks better keep him or trade him next year. I understand people not valuing him because of his play and contract but the blues won't just give him away to get cap space

The Blues have young goalies...Binnington is better than any goalie the Sabres have had since Hasek. Maybe Levi is better but win a playoff round/just make the playoffs first. Blues are in no way looking to unload Parayko. They might trade him for value but not for this garbage.

It's the chronic paradox of a sports fan wanting to eagerly dump a player off his team while hyping how great the player is for the other team that they want premium assets from in return.

If Kevyn Adams were to agree to any of the proposed signings or trade, the "foot in the crease" should be retitled to "kick in the butt" from fans

1 - Yes, the skate was absolutely in the crease. Been saying that for 20 something years now.

2 - The Blues super hard pass.

Show us ONE Blues fan that had asked for multiple 1sts. You guys just make stuff up. And the ones who are eager to dump him ask for garbage returns. The rest say they don't want to trade him.
