Created by: mboss618
Team: 2023-24 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 12, 2023

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
THIS IS IF LAVY IS OUR COACH!!!!!

LINE 1) KREIDS - MIKA - KAP : give kappo the first line mins and watch him get 60-65 points next season or 70 at max I see him taking that next steps with more mins.

LINE 2A) BALD BREAD - VINNY - FAST : bread and fast were good when both playing together before he left to go to NC so id say he is a good fit along with also playing with vinny this line is pretty well rounded.

LINE 2B) OTTER - FIL - LAFFY : youth, speed, goals, Id like this as line 2B because this whole lines needs mins to be productive.

LINE 4) MOTTE - DOWD - VESEY : grit and still can chip in the reason for the nic dowd trade was due to him already playing under Lav in Washington and I'd see a good fit for him.

DEFENSE SAME AS LAST YEAR LOOK FOR BOTTOM 3rd Pair FOR SCHNIDS

PLAYERS THAT SHOULD AS LOOK AT IN FA :

So I have to pay you a 3 rd pick to gift wrap you a guy who I don't have to trade for a prospect who doesn't move the needle?

No bueno

You would need to give up a significant asset along with Goodrow for someone to take him…

hathaway, on an expiring contract and at the tdl last year, returned basically a second.

the best 4c in the league on a great contract that they are under absolutely zero pressure to move to their 2nd/3rd biggest rival in their division? not joking at all

Plus the fact that he is so important to the Caps. He has put up very solid offensive numbers, despite getting a majority of defensive draws. He wins faceoffs. He is right handed. And has been a staple to the Caps fourth line for years now (and each year, the Caps fourth line has been the best fourth line in the NHL).
