Bedard Conservative Cap Use

Description
Couple of notes:

Addition of future draft assets.

EDM may be looking to dump some salary. Foegele would free up space for them, as well as provide the hawks with a player who can play on all 4 lines and every situation.

PHI has been pretty vocal about their displeasure with the play and contract of Ristolainen. Moving him would be costly due to the remaining years on his contract. Given the hawks need a Right handed D man, he may be a decent fit that would allow the hawks to gain picks as well. He could end up being a future trade piece.

Domi has said that he would be open to returning to Chicago because of his fondness for coach Luke Richardson. He probably wont take a 1 year deal again. 3 years would allow him to come up at the same time as Bedard.

Killorn may have interest in moving to a new spot. The hawks would benefit from providing Bedard a capable set of proven NHL wingers. It may be cost than more then they'd like, but at least you know what you're getting from him.

Resign Kurashev, 2-3 year term. his contract shouldn't break the bank. He'll have an opportunity to really solidify a top 6 role.

Allow two young prospect defenseman to play full time. I chose Kaiser and Vlasic. Phillips I think will also see time. Maybe Del Mastro or Allan will get a look as well.

Korchinski should return to WHL and continue to play top minutes.

Nazar and Rinzel will go to the NCAA.

Signing Hutchinson would provide depth in net. Gives the hawks and up and down guy who can also help the young goaltender. (Stauber & Commesso)

Yeah no we aren't using a 2nd to dump foegele. Great underlying numbers, awesome forechecker and one of the best motors in the league. He's a great piece and I can't see him being given up for anything less than a 4th. You can have Yams or Ceci for free though but Edmonton doesn't have any contracts this offseason that need a pick to be dumped

Risto was arguably the Flyers best defenseman over the 2nd half of the season and they don't need to clear cap space. It's not a good contract but it's not that bad and the Flyers will be way more concerned with moving out Hayes and TDA. Not a chance they would give up a 1st and move down with two other picks to move Risto.

I think the hawks would also be open to giving Yamamoto a shot to play with Bedard. I chose Foegele based on his age and the possibility of EDM looking to find some extra offense, by opening space. Yamamoto is cheap and still relatively young.

I don't think either EDM nor PHI are doing those. EDM can fund a better home for Foegele...or keep him. He's certainly better than Yamamoto.

PHI is rebuilding/retooling. They'll take on more cap dumps. Not pay to shed them.

Risto had a surprisingly improved 2nd half. Flyers aren't in need to move him as it would cost futures to move, and in this rebuilding sphere that's too costly.

I honestly wouldn't want Risto even if PHI were willing to pay this price. There is no reason for either team to do it.
