Calgary isn't trading Lindholm for Nylander. If Nylander becomes a Flame, its so they can play together

A 60 point winger is worth more than a mitigated 2nd round pick, even if only for a year.

He was acquired for a 2nd and a 3rd with 3 years on the contract. Just because LA put him on the powerplay he's a completely different player? He doesn't drive play, he isn't physical.

He had similar 5v5 scoring and p/60 on his down years with NSH.

I really don't care because unless I sent Nylander over for a 3rd rd pick you'd cry about it. It is what it is.

I think you just need to look at the trade from both sides and have it make sense.
Nylander to the Flames should probably get Toronto something they need as a base (aka. a defenseman and/or more of a two way forward). While Lindholm is the two way forward they could use, it wouldn't make sense for them to trade their 1C for a 1RW. It would be like trading Matthews for Kucherov

I've done multiple different scenarios with a bunch of different players. The guy I replied won't consider anything that isn't a complete fleecing by Calgary.

At the end of the day until he puts pen to paper (which he most likely will with Calgary) I don't think there is too much that's completely off the table for pending UFA's.

Gothca, didn't know if that was just for him or a general statement. Now I'm curious what @Gmonwy offer would be.

Personally, I think something with Hanifin or Tanev for Nylander would be the framework with Flames adding a piece or pieces depending what dman goes back.

That Flyers trade just seems like a nothing trade.

Just didn't fit into my roster. It is a nothing trade basically. If its the Flyers or anyone else Lafferty is still an NHL player and someone would take him.

Fair enough. No complaints here, just felt the need to say it.

What’s this? A Leafs ACGM that Detroit actually accepts? Break out the tin foil hats, the world is ending!
