First AGM I have seen Kerfoot being resigned. I really like his speed and his effort but he has struggled offensively these past 2 years and doesn't bring an element of physicality. I think a mutual split on Kerfoot is needed. I think 3 x 3 is the absolute low end Kerfoot gets though. I assume it will be at least 3.5m again. He is a solid player.

Successfully offer sheeting Jeannot like that would be hilarious after Tampa spent 47 picks for him at the draft. I assume Tampa matches this though, but I am sure they are hoping his cap ends up being lower.

kerfoot can rebound. hes a solid swiss army player. hes alsoa good playmaker and his speed goes well with JT. i can see him staying in TO. they have ross colton to re-sign and not alot of cap to work with. idk if they can afford jeannot at 3M

also his play doesnt warrant an raise. hes a solid player. hes worth the 3M. but i can see vancouver or seattle offering that money with more term. and honestly we dont need more toughness if we land jeannot. his line will handle it

Getting a 3rd and 4th for Jarnkrok and then going and signing Kerfoot to a higher cap hit deal just doesn't make sense. He score 20 goals and is making 2.1 for 3 years. Jeannot is only worth 3m to Tampa bay considering what they gave up to acquire him.

Jeannot was such a difference maker in the playoffs. Definitely a smart idea to pay him 3 million to be a healthy scratch

dont u see him on the 3rd line?. hes an ex 24 goal scorer. if he drops 20 and defends our star players thats money well spent.

jarnkrok is 31. kerfoot is 28. kerfoot is faster and yes he may not out score him. but hes a better playmaker whos better suited to play with JT. jarnkrok will slow down soon and kerfoot is still in his prime. and ask the leafs core they would all love a guy like jeannot looking out after them

He shot at a ridiculous high rate that season. He'll never score 20 again. He'll likely end up as a 10 goal scorer who fights alot and does little else.

Yeah let's just ask the Leafs core. What a silly thing to say.

youre so triggered over jeannot being overpaid by 1m. i much rather offer sheet & lose a second rounder and slightly overpay a player than trade for tom wilson whos gonna do the same thing for 3x the price. teams who have a top fighter dont want to trade them away. and the leafs desperately need a player like him.
