Yzerman won't touch Deangelo with a 100 foot pole, He traded him out of Tampa for a reason.

That's true, but i could see him at the TDL needing some more offense or more of a PP qb and getting him for 50% retained for basically no draft capital, could be enticing. It seems TDA has grown up a bit, and although he did trade him once, if he thinks it benefits the team, he should do it. From all accounts, TDA was a solid citizen this year, even after being scratched for the last 8 games for no reason. One game they only dressed 5 instead of playing him.

First two would work, I think we're stuck with TDA until someone gets desperate enough at the deadline for a PP anchor.

It's also for a tough dman who you guys could use on your third pair, inexpensive, and actually plays defense. Zamula is a prospect that has taken a little while longer to develop but clearly has skills and would be one of your top d prospects immediately.

If necessary I would up the retention or add in a mid round pick, 3rd or 4th, to balance it out more.

I'm more thinking that too at the TDL, i forgot to enter it into the notes of the trade and was too lazy to revert it and add it. Someone will add him for sure, really hoping this regime doesn't buy him out just to do it, like Chuck did with Lindblom. What a ****in waste of resources.

“TDA was a solid citizen this year, even after being scratched for the last 8 games for no reason. One game they only dressed 5 instead of playing him.“

And that right there is why SY says no. A team actively said dress 5 D and don’t put him in… that is not a guy team’s like the Wings can take a chance on.

It didn't seem it was for behavioral issues, Torts even said as much that it wasn't a punishment but the reason was between TDA and the team. I was making the point that during break up day, he said all the right things, understood where management and the coaches were coming from, and still wanted to be in Philly and looked forward to next year.

COL accepts. Ranta if he could figure anything out could be a physical goal scoring presence almost tailor made for the Flyers.

Colorado likely accepts that one unless they have a better offer lined up somewhere though I'm not sure why the Flyers would go for Ranta when he just signed in Sweden for 2 years.

All fits our timeline, we aren't competing for a cup next year or the year after that most likely. Either way, our system is really bare at LW right now, adding another would help alot.
