I don't think Anaheim would have a ton of interest in Hutson given their prospects on the back end and particularly Zellweger. Now in my opinion I don't think either Zellweger or Hutson will become big time NHLers. I think they will struggle defensively at this level but only time will tell.

Lane Huston is another copy of Olen Zellweger. We already have one, we already have too many LHD. Gurianov is a freebie, and Messar doesn't meet the build reqs for Verbeek.

Dach + 5OA + 31OA. No Dach, no deal.

Anaheim is stacked on LD prospects so no interest in Hutson. Mesar doesn’t move the needle. It will take Slafkovsky to get a franchise C like Fantilli.

If we were even contemplating trading #2 (and I don't think that we are), it would take Slafkovsky or Suzuki plus Beck or Kidney plus the two 2023 firsts to convince us to part with the pick. Bedard and Fantilli are generational talents. It takes more than a "draft-pick-chart exchange" to overcome that.

You’re merging into overpay territory. Yes he is an elite prospect and is probably a franchise center but he isn’t yet and possible he doesn’t ever. Keep it realistic.

You don't move potential franchise players without a massive overpay. Franchise players are game changers for revenue and lining the owners pockets. Think about it from a business point of view. Keep it realistic.
