not even close for Pesce... Bouchard going to the Hurricanes will be part of any trade if Edmonton wants Pesce

Edmonton is in win now mode that aren't going to trade the better player in the trade.

I mean the Hurricanes would probably have to throw in some sweeteners but they both would fit something each of their new team... Edmonton needs a defensively focused defenseman like Pesce and Carolina needs a younger 2nd pairing defenseman like Bouchard.

I'm not disagreeing Edmonton needs someone like Pesce in their line up I think removing Bouchard creates bigger hole in there power play and they cant afford to replace

I think that having McDavid, Drastil, and Nugent-Hopkins will ensure that the power play will still be very very good and Pesce will help create a lot more balance on the team and I think that will be of more value to Edmonton than the difference that Bouchard makes on the power play

1 year of Pesce won't get Bouchard. That's not a thing teams do, especially good ones. Trade a very good proven and younger player for a season of an older but still good one. The only reason this is a rumour is because the Canes may not re-sign Pesce. I think all the Oilers would send is a 1st, Ceci, and Yamamoto since it's highly unlikely they could sign BP after too. Carolina would get a better offer of players from Buffalo, but that have no playoff experience

That wouldn't be anywhere close to what Pesce is worth

Expecting a player like Bouchard for Pesce is ridiculous.

In my estimation, it’d have to be some sort of combination of Holloway, Broberg, 1st round pick, etc + a warm body like Kulak, who the Canes have been after before. Ceci would be no interest.

The Sabres are a much more interesting trade partner if it came down to it. Hopefully or won’t and the Canes end up keeping Pesce.

To the Oilers that probably is. More money has to go out then comes in without losing anything significant for Edmonton. Would you expect the Sabres to send Owen Power for Brett Pesce?

No, because they have other young defensemen on the NHL roster to send that are pretty good... the Oilers do not have that

The equivalent of 3 1st round picks + for 1 season of Pesce you think? That's pretty pricey

Comprehension not really your thing is it?

“Some sort of combination” does not mean all players mentioned.

I comprehend fine. You don't write well. Why wouldn't you just clarify what you meant instead of trying to imply I'm dumb?

The combination of any things like Holloway, Broberg, and a 1st + is the equivalent of 3 first round picks +. Combination means to combine different things together. You are having trouble comprehending i think

“Some sort of combination”…pls point out how and why you can’t understand that “some sort of combination” is an open observation that those would likely be pieces CAR might be interested in and not a blanket statement that a trade would have to involve all of those pieces.

See, if I had said, CAR would need ALL of those pieces, then your inference might make some sense.

Don’t worry, lots of other dolts on this site who also can’t read, so you’re not alone.

To suggest them as a combination means to put them together. Look up the definition of combination. I read it fine, and I know what combination means. You used the word wrong.

Yet you completely ignore "some sort of" which clearly implies a mixture, not all...my lord you can't be this dumb...

I think what I inferred from you saying "some sort of combination" was reasonable. I have no idea why you've been so unreasonable.

Not being unreasonable at all, just pointing out your complete lack of reasoning. And if you want to continue to harp on it. I'll be more than happy to keep pointing it out.
