Description
Per LeBrun it sounds like Hanifin is getting moved. His extension would like be starting around 6 mill, but he's worth it.
The rest are just some of the moves I'd like to see. We need a legit 3rd line and that starts by getting a legit center and sending Granlund packing.

No he didn't Paul spent until early January with Killorn and Stamkos . Until Cirelli was back up to speed. Colton mostly played with Bellemare/Maroon/Namestnikov go check the shift charts on the games.

Tampa declines. They easily have the space for Colton as it is quite likely that Killorn is walking because Tampa does not have the room to pay him at market value. Tampa has no reason at all to move Colton, so if a team wants him, they can either meet Tampa's ask or they won't be getting him. From Pittsburgh, POJ+one of O'Connor/Nylander/Puustinen for Colton+'25 3rd+Fleury could be something Tampa might consider. They won't be giving him away though.

Even if the bolts run a 22 man roster they only have roughly 8.2 mill to sign 5 forwards and a back up goalie. Given what they paid for TJ at the deadline I would guess he is their priority who will cost you at least 2.5 if not more. So that gives you just 5.7 mill to sign 4 forwards and a back up goalie. No chance you also sign Colton, who had his production, without trading away cap currently on the roster.

Tampa hasn't run 23 in years, so 21 or 22 is almost a lock. Jeannot isn't sniffing 2.5 after the year he just had. He was close to.a 2 millionx 5 orb6 year deal in Nashville, and he'll likely end up with a short 2 year bridge in the 1.5-1.75 range(2 tops), before Tampa can then pay him a longer term deal or he leaves. There have been dozens of Tampa lineups done, and keeping Colton for as high as 3.5-3.75 is doable depending on other roster moves. If the choice is between running a 21 man roster vs trading Colton for garbage so they can have a scrub 22nd player getting scratched or sometimes on the 4th line, 21 it is. Tampa only trades him if Killorn takes an unbelievable and improbable discount to remain in Tampa. Colton will 95% be staying in Tampa for quite some time, but on the off chance he is moved, it will be for a couple of pieces that help Tampa win now, not weak scratch off tickets that don't help until 2027 at the earliest.

Wouldn't say zero leverage. He's a really good player. If Tampa is forced to trade him, pretty sure they'll have multiple offers to choose from. There's also a chance he takes a one year, team friendly deal for like $3m and waits til the cap goes up next year to cash in.

Slightly higher 2nd rounder, but what I expected him to go for. Tampa got lucky Colorado got paid that much for Newhook to make it happen.

I for one am shocked. Guess JBB isn't as good of a GM as Bolts fans think he is. #37 is a nice pick, but not enough in my opinion. L for Tampa Bay
