Calgary won't pay to dump Kadri just yet..with the cap going up, if Kadri can be even a 2nd line C, it's a good deal and who knows, he could bounce back with a new coach.

I know the first rounder looks appealing, but Kadri may not are worth 7m next season, never mind the five after that. Kadri will be 33 at the start of this season. IMO he has the heart but the body will decline rapidly according to NHL standards.

Zero chance we do this: Kadri will be on LTIR the last 3 years of his contract. It's better to jest keep him, see if he rebounds and then deal him if he does. This makes Calgary worse now and worse in the future.
