McLeod is wrapped up in the world junior scandal; I have no idea if / how he was involved (none of us do). But until the report comes out - I don’t think you’ll see much activity involving those players

His 5v5 numbers were about the same as Jeff Carter. You know, the guy every Pens fan wants to get rid of.

Jarnkroks numbers were also similar to Zach Aston-Reese, who is a FA and can be signed for 1MM.

So why would anyone pay a 3rd and a 4th for a guy they could get cheaper in FA?

Lol. He scored 20 goals. And you are comparing him to guys who scored below 10.

5v5 numbers:
Carter Expected Goals: 11.4
Jarnkrok Expected Goals: 11.0
ZAR Expected Goals: 9.5

Jarnkrok scored 20 goals playing with some of the best forwards in the NHL. An AHL player would have scored at least 10. This is why advanced stats matter. You can look past a guy who had great teammates feeding him easy goals and see him for what he is. A 4th liner.

He was 187th in expected goals, 182nd in corsi, 210th in expected goals against, 289th in high-danger expected shots against, and 178th in created xgoals.

Numbers don't lie. He is not a 1st liner. I doubt he is a 3rd liner.

Lol. Ok buddy. You just proved he’s a middle 6 guy who can score 20 goals for you. 2.1 mil AAV. Solid.

How did I prove that? By saying he was in the bottom half of forwards in basically every category? I mean technically he was 187 out of 290 guys so that would put him at a 3rd line with even distribution. But, why would anyone trade for that when it's free in FA and likely cheaper?

They wouldn't. You can keep Jarnkrok. He is not wanted here.
