Want NYI feedback/My Spite the Oilers Trade ;)

Created by: PhatRas
Team: 2017-18 Calgary Flames
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 22, 2017
Published: Jun. 22, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Halak for Brouwer is a contract swap, benefits Calgary because we need a goalie and the 4.5M is off the books next year. I'm not sure what the Islanders needs are but that trade could be Stajan instead with some Halak salary retained.

Meat of this trade is Hamonic and a 2nd for Kylington, Rittich, and a 2nd that could be a first based on conditions. It may be a lot to give up but it is also a long term fit that is age appropriate with this team.

NYI is looking for another top 6 forward right now. Either an Elite LW or a considerably good 2nd Line Center. The two biggest names buzzing around the Isles are Duchene and Galchenyuk (not counting Eberle who was already dealt).

Brower isn't horrible, but he is a cap liability and will continue to be for the next three years. NYI can't take one bad contracts right now (we arguably already did that today with Eberle). I don't know those other two skaters. I'm sure they're fine, but the Isles already have good prospects. All we're looking for right now is top 6 forwards.

The only two pieces the Isles would want from Calgary would be Monahan or Gaudreau, both of whom I assume are untouchable.
