That Washington trade is so bad for Vancouver, and the Calgary one doesn’t really make sense either.

Why would we add assets to the Myers deal to gain an AHL goalie?

Sure thing champ. Boeser is a declining, one-dimensional, soft, winger with a bloated contract, his value is much lower than you seem to assume. Podkolzin has ~33PTs in a season an a half, he’s a prayer. Rathbone is a replacement level Bottom Pair DMan. Jensen is far more valuable than Boeser and anything in that package from VAN, he’s easily a 3D on practically any NHL team. Iorio alone is worth more than everything in that package from VAN and WSH never considers that horrible trade.

No thanks from the Flames. I'd rather keep Dube and Vladar. I think Dube takes another step this year, and Vladar can fetch a modest return from another team in terms of futures.

Rathbone and Iorio are a wash, Boeser easily gets jensen plus more not to mention the retention on him, which leaves podkolzin for a bunch of ahlers which is never gonna happen

Calling Rathbone and Iorio a wash is just embarrassing. Rathbone's a 24 year old former 4th round pick who still can't stick in the NHL, while Iorio, who's 5 inches taller and 4 years younger, is a former 2nd round pick who had a great D+1 year and is currently playing a big role on an AHL team that's a win way from the Calder Cup. They're not even in the same conversation in terms of value.

Iorio isn’t close to the nhl level yet. Rathbone absolutely dominated the ahl last year and is a legit nhl caliber d man at this moment. If you just wanna base players off where they were drafted and not how they actually play I guess mark stone sucks cause he was a 6th round pick and pavelski is a bum cause he was a 7th rounder right?

Iorio's a year away at most and has shown consistent growth each year since being drafted. I don't know how 14 points in 37 games is "dominating" for a 24 year old offensive defenseman in the AHL, and playing 14 minutes a night in 11 NHL games doesn't seem like proof he's a legit NHL defenseman.

Nice strawman. Neither Iorio nor Rathbone has established themselves in the NHL yet, so their draft pedigree is still relevant. Iorio's ceiling is much higher than Rathbone's.

When someone says "last year" it typically means the most recent completed season. What's your explanation for the step back he took in 22-23 then? Nothing kills a prospect's value like regression, and he regressed a ton.

I say last year because this pro season in North America isn’t over yet… you say he had a bad year this year but he was still every bit as good as iorio so what’s that tell you…

A 24 year old looking "every bit as good" as a 20 year old tells me the 20 year old is the significantly more valuable player. I don't know why you keep ignoring the age difference, cause that's a huge factor in this. And I said Rathbone regressed, not that he had a bad year. You've got a bad habit of putting words in other peoples mouths.

Look, if you don't believe me, make an ACGM where Vancouver trades Rathbone for Iorio and see what the general consensus is. I'm getting tired of talking to a brick wall.
