  1. 2023 2nd round pick (CHI)
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (DAL)
CHI
  1. 2023 1st round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
*Avs trade the 27th overall pick for the 35th overall pick and the 93rd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
2.
BOS
  1. Newhook, Alex [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
*Bruins are clearing cap space and they don't have much leverage in trade talks. I'm assuming that the Avs are a Cup contending team that's off his 10 team no-trade list. Good fit on the 2nd line for the Avs, whereas, Newhook is a 3rd line centre at best.

Avs would never do that.

I hope JTC gets 5M+. But Avs shouldn't be paying that. Would love JT to come back at a lower price tag than that. But it's not happening. And the rest of this is just awful.

I could understand if it was a one year deal for Hall, but his second year will affect the cap severely for the Avs. Does Byram sign for 2.5m?

"Bruins are clearing cap space and they don't have much leverage in trade talks."

Hence why you don't trade Newhook for him.

Also, if the Avs give Compher 5M and/or 6 years I'm throwing a turd on the ice next game I attend.

Not sure why people think Hall is no good. Yah he’s a cap dump for the bruins because they are f**ked for cap and have good LW depth. But he’s still a great player and would really help the Avs. Bruins might be willing to take a chance on Newhook. I think it’s a fair trade.

No it really isn't. Nobody is saying Hall is no good. Just that the Avs don't need to and won't give up their cost-controlled young C for him.

no diss to hall. you just gotta pick and choose where you spend your money and $6mil for "not center" isn't really in the Avs cards rn

Seems a logical move for COL and CHI based on each situation.

There are pick value trade charts floating around out there. The Avs 1st is worth the 35 & 55 from Chicago. Want to make sure there is value in that sole pick.
