laugh You're not getting 2 1st round picks for Alex DeBrincat.

And Clayton Keller gets a better offer than that. Heck Detroit would beat that offer.

Just like every delusional Leafs fan thinking that they have a shot at Connor Hellebuyck. And seeing that Detroit has the better picks and prospects in this case. Hell yeah they can offer better than this.

You said Detroit would offer a better package...but then said they might not. So which is it?

That's why i said we wouldn't do it. Just proving that we have the assets to beat that offer.

All i'm saying is that we've the assets to beat this deal, Not saying we're going to do it where we stand in our current rebuild.

you say every player WANTS to play in detroit and then proceed to call other cities dumps. I shouldn't have to explain to you the irony in that statement
you commented that PLD's number #1 choice is Detroit because he trains there. Do you know how many players train in Toronto, yet don't sign there?
you commented Scheifele prefers to play in Detroit because Yzerman was his idol
and you wanna talk about delusion?

Surely you understand the difference in meaning of the words CAN and WILL. It is not 2005. Detroit is not the center of the hockey universe anymore with an unlimited budget. And it hasn't been relevant in about a decade. They are up and coming and should be contenders soon, but I think we can all do without the blind homerism.

And where are the Blues finding all this extra cap? Folks need to actually think when they read Friedman's bull****.

Agreed. But that contract would fit very nicely in the top 6. I’d do it for that reason.

I think St. Louis is going to do something big. They might get cap space by shipping off Parayko and a sweetener to Anaheim or another team who has cap space.

Sens could offer Tkachuk, Stutzle, Chabot and Sanderson. Not saying we’d do it, but that’s a very strong package…

Thankfully? I wish he resigned in Ottawa long term. Career low in shooting percentage and he still had a great year. He’s going to light it up next year. And I hope we ship him to the Western Conference as a result. He’ll be 40+ goals again in 23-24, but sadly not in Ottawa.
