Description
How to fix Vancouver and make them a playoff team.

Step 1: Revamp the defensive group of the team, attain some big size, and players that can play big minutes like Graves and Mayfield.
Step 2: Bring in the right prospects, players that can play shutdown minutes. Like Raty and Pettersson.
Step 3: Sign a gritty depth forward that can get under the opponents skin. Someone that can be a great example for younger players like Dakota Joshua and Nils Aman. Sign Garnet Hathaway.
Step 4: Trade Boesor and a prospect for Travis Konecny. Someone that can play with more energy and effort.
Step 5: Hire a defensive minded coach “RickTochett” that can teach stars like Pettersson, Konency, and others form a habit of playing a 200ft game.

But you’re overlooking Sheldon Dries!! That definitely tops the scale way in Philly’s favour!

You make it sound as if Konecny is a top tier player in the NHL. He’s only marginally better than Boesor, and the Flyers would be getting a top prospect. Dries is a future middle 6 centre-men.

Didn't know 29 year olds are considered top prospects now

How exactly does that help a 3-4 year rebuild? A wait it doesn’t lol. In 2 years Boeser would just leave and the Flyers would have traded TK for nothing so again flyers easily decline this horrible offer. Look how funny this is @OldSchool

So it says in the description Boeser and a prospect for TK, where's the prospect? I hope you don't mean the guy who is almost 30 as a prospect.

Seriously though, Boeser is getting paid 1.1 million more than TK and has less points in more games, and Dries is 29 and only played one full NHL season with numbers of a 4th liner. No thanks.

Edit: After doing further research Dries had stints in five different NHL seasons, most of which were underwhelming. If you think someone who has played a game in five different seasons and is 29 a prospect you don't know the definition.

Okay nerd, Dries was just an example. Flyers would get a good prospect with this deal. Konecny really is not that much better than Boesor. Boesor and a top 5 Canucks prospect and the deal is set. Flyers could instead opt to lose Konency in FA.

Hostile much? You made the post expect criticism.

Now while I'd agree typically on Boeser, seeing how Canucks seem to be aggressively trying to move him because of his contract price his value to other teams is down. Any other prospect is fine, but the Flyers would have just as much of a chance of Boeser leaving in free agency two years down the line just like TK, as both their contracts expire at the same time. Which means we could easily hold out on TK and trade him for a haul at the deadline from a desperate playoff team. With this a single prospect wouldn't be enough to take Boeser's 1.1 million price upgrade, as he could just walk in free agency and could possibly fetch the same price by a deadline team.

A top 5 Canucks prospect is not too enticing. While in their career, Boeser has been the better producer, Konecy is trending upward whereas Boeser is trending downward
