Ottawa loses this trade. St Louis does well for themselves. Philly wins this by a landslide.

Wouldn't mind getting Debrincat for that value, but hopefully Blues have a solid defense rework in place to actually make it worth it.

Pass. The Blues are not blowing two 23 1sts on a winger they don't need and can't afford. All these expensive winger who wants out trades to STL are far fetched from every angle, especially with no cap going back. And if these players are forcing trades, why are they getting face value anyway?

As much as i would like Debrincat its not what we need. Another smallish none defensive winger like Kryou. We need a rough and tumble center that wins draws.

Unless we just say forget it and move to a full transition team I’m not sure Debrincat fits anything we should be looking in to. And if we do that a few other dominos need to fall to do it effectively.

Don’t think Debrincat is a good fit at all for St. Louis aside from fitting the core age range. This is extremely accelerating our retool but doing so by not fixing our glaring problems. Maybe we could outscore all of our problems, but I’m not betting on it until Kyrou simplifies a bit.

This would pretty much undo a lot of the solid work Ottawa has so far done to rebuild. Konecny is a fine player, but don’t make yourself believe the guy who was 460-something in GAR is worth a 24 1st

You might want to look at that again because obviously you missed the fact that the Flyers are giving up Laughton as well. A 2024 first, Boucher and Ostapchuk not only isn't a landslide win for the Flyers, it's a bad deal that the Flyers wouldn't do. Boucher is a bust, Ostapchuk is ok, and the first is a year down the line and not in as good of a draft. The Flyers can do way better for TK.

Add in Laughton who carries at least a late first round value on his own and it's horrendous.

This trade is decent for the flyers but a landslide win is laughable

Ostapchuk has 1st round pick value to Ottawa, he was an early 2nd and his stock kept rising since being picked. He will be an excellent versatile 2-way 3rd line forward,

Boucher was a recent 10th OA pick although I always thought he should have been an early 2nd round pick. He now only has 3rd round pick value to me

Sens do not need Laughton, particularly if they get Konecny

This trade has too many parts, it should be DeBrincat straight up for Konecny, then the Flyers flip the Cat somewhere else for futures

Norris-Batherson is a deadly duo when healthy, such a waste to have Bath on the 3rd line just to have a meh player on the 2nd line LW

Tkachuk-Stutzle-Giroux
Konecny-Norris-Batherson
Greig-Pinto-Joseph
Crookshank-Kastelic-Gauthier

Then spend the AAV to get the best UFA goalie possible

tears of joy

You're basically getting 4 round picks and Boucher for Konecny and Laughton (who has late first round pick value AT THE DEADLINE, but we are in the off-season)

Honest mistake I guess as you didn't see the other 2 first round picks

What about Debrincat for 25th overall, Vrana, and a 3rd?

Vrana played 101 games in the last 3 seasons, can't take that risk. His value dropped a lot because of that (he was traded for a 7th with 50% retention recently

So trading DeBrincat for a late first and a 3rd would be really BAD.

Philly is getting 3 first round picks, boucher and Ostapchuk for Laughton and Konecny.

Both the 1st from St Louis go to Philly as well. I think you may have missed that.
