Flyers wouldn't accept this trade, not enough value. Yamamoto has literally no value, and Broberg's only value is his age. he's blocked on the team and is really in a sort of purgatory. Gonna need to add more to get

While I'd rather the Wild just continue to be patient and build their prospect pool for a push in 2025/26 when they have cap space, they'd probably take that deal with that kind of retention.

The top scoring team in the league is trading defense for offense? Okay.

We shouldn’t. I’d rather just let Rossi sink or swim at 1C. Foligno and Goligoski are gone after this season. That cap can be better spent elsewhere. Hell, Zucc’s and MAF’s cap hit plus those two expiring is enough to take a run at some quality free agents next summer (Matthews, Lindholm, etc). We have ELC replacements that should be ready in a year too. Lambos, Hunt, possibly Peart for LD. Wallstedt for MAF. Duhaime, Walker or Milne to take the place of Foligno.

Agree completely. I just don't know if the team would say no to acquiring a top 6 center with such a low cap hit. Their lack of center depth is a problem and teams do short-sighted things sometimes.

The thought of adding a 6'5" center is appealing, but not at the price we would need to pay. Guerin has been extremely reluctant to trade 1st round picks. I think we are good.

I think if Philly was actually offering Hayes at 50% retained for 3 years, they'd have teams offering better packages anyhow. Goligoski is just included for salary, Foligno is probably worth the 3rd so no way Philly only gets a mid to late 1st round pick for Hayes with that much retention.
