The correct value pick would be the Tampa 2nd instead of the Ottawa 2nd for the Hawk deal. Only way Hawks do this is if there is someone they absolutley love at 14....so maybe.

Philly declines on principal. Trading Pettersson makes no sense, nor does signing Drouin.

Trading Pettersson makes no sense without a replacement. Signing Drouin to that contract makes a ton of sense for PIT though.

Signing Jonathan Drouin makes zero sense. He’s worthless.

He's a low risk/high reward UFA on that contract. He had a much better year than Carter or Granlund so still a major improvement at 3C. His contract is so little it's inconsequential if he isn't good on PIT. Unlike Carter and Granlund who suck AND consume lots of cap space.
