Why are you signing OEL????? He’s garbage. Pass on caps trade, you could get more from the Brodie trade

Not from Wings as they do not need another LH shooting defenseman. WOW i can not belive there is another Brodie to Wings as this has been stated that he is not a fit here with all the LHD defensemen we have in our system. AGAIN WE NEED RHD DEFENSEMEN, I GUESS THIS JUST DOES NOT SEEM TO MAKE IT THRU LEAF FANS MINDS.

It costs at least a 2nd to dump Murray's contract with nothing going back to TOR. Look at historic cap dump costs.
You're not getting SJ's 2nd (that conditionally can turn into a 1st) in return for giving a cap dump. Seriously Toronto fans need to stop this complete delusion. It's not going to happen

I don't think it did. You're thinking of Mzarek trade which was to move up 13 spots, dumping 3.2mx2 and that was an outlier comp compared to all the other cap dumps so it was unique to CHI

The DeBrincat trade was for a player who was an RFA after the following season. I don't think a team's going to pay the same price for a player who's a UFA after the following season, especially a team in the Caps' position that's not one player away from contending next year and would probably lose him for nothing afterwards.
