That would be ideal but colton is probably the most valuable asset we would have for a contending team like Edmonton

no edmonton has no cap space so they need assets to make a package for a top 4 RD, they are asking a little over a 1st for broberg

Which we can’t afford. 2026 is the next 1st round pick we could offer. They don’t need any of our prospects as they aren’t good enough to crack their win now lineup the only player who could buy like you mentioned they can’t afford is Colton

We made the ECF and we’re 1 game away from the SCF in Steve’s first year here. Then made the SCF in 2015 so in his first 5 years with us he had already built the core of this team that would win a cup. Sure he wasn’t left with the same assets as he was here but don’t blame lottery results for your teams lack of success. So sure it has only been 5 years since he joined the team but is that a excuse

Wings started in 18, either way 0 chance they trade wallinder for this player

we would just have to make a package of some of our prospects + picks for a 1st with another team, I did howard + 25 2nd with the sharks and the value was there but the sharks wanted a guy with size, we could do a package involving thompson but idk I kinda wanna keep him he looks like he could be in our lineup as early as next year if raddysh doesnt work out

23-18=5.
And this player has as many cups at 26 as zetterberg did his whole career. Not the less he had the Stanley cup clinching goal. But he he’s just some player

I don’t see how we could trade Howard right now. This is the lowest his price could be as he didn’t have a great start to college. Trade one of the crunch prospects and the next highest pick we have and maybe but I don’t think we have the depth to be picking away at the future for this

I don’t know what else there is to tell you. I will no longer look at reports from the actual reporters. I will be getting all my insider information from you as you seem to be in the room with JBB as we speak.

Lol, and these reporters are in JBB's planning sessions.lol. There hasn't been one credible piece of evidence suggesting Colton can't be afforded, only that Tampa may have offered Killorn a long term, low aav contract that seems unlikely to be signed. When Killorn decides to sign elsewhere, Tampa easily.has the money for Colton. All that's been said is that Colton is looking for a significant raise, which then was taken by every reporter looking for a click saying how Tampa might not be able to afford him. His raise in Tampa will be significant, as going from just over 1 million aav to low to mid 3's fits that definition.

? broberg would be the future he is 21, same thing JBB did with trading our firsts for a guy who is 24(hagel) and a guy who is 26(jeannot). As far as trading howard I kind of agree but I really like our other prospects. Perhaps we could trade like duke, finley, schmidt, edmonds, even guys like huutanen look like they have potential, they might hold some value. I am unwilling to trade goncalves because he is making the team this year

It would probabaly have to be whichever of Thompson or Schmidt the team was willing to part with if a dman prospect has to go. Howard is the main F prospect, but Finley and Huuhtanen(sp) could also be prospects that could be included if the deal was right I suppose.

a combination of those prospects and some picks I think could get a 1st, I would trade schmidt as Thompson would get the nod before him and finley had a good year for a 20 yearold and is 6'6 so will hold a lot of value, we should prob keep huuhtanen he might be a darkhorse

I am talking as far as offensive prospects go we don’t have much high end talent. And as far as defense goes we have even less. So I don’t know if trading the prospects we have at their lowest value would do good by this teams future I understand broberg is that future

it would be trading schmidt which is only our 2nd best RD prospect and Finley which would be our best Center prospect but that is the price to pay for a potential top 4 LD, on top of some picks of course

I also like our future forward prospects, howard, goncalves, edmonds, huuhtanen, duke, finley all have NHL potential

He's playing the right side and plenty of room in grand rapids. Keep going though

Still got room?
