That seems like a fair deal for both sides, good job. Although, I doubt the Canadiens would buy right now...

I think they are being cagey about it, but the players believe with a "do-over" season, they are close to a playoff team.

I think this team is missing a top 6 winger, a couple top pair dmen, and a goalie.
Even if they somehow get all those who are they competing against?
Toronto, Tampa, Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo, Florida.
Boston is the only team I see they can really pass. They shouldn't rush the retool, they can't even make the playoffs with a good team.

Pass, like Columbus fans trying to sell us on Roslovic, no interest in Dvorak. Beck is a decent prospect but 2 late 1sts is not really appealing. The value isn't horrible, just lacks appeal

If MTL was willing to offer that much PLD would already be a hab, I really wouldn't like that trade, just stay patient and draft your own Lindholm or wait for a buy low opportunity or a free agent. No need for the habs to rush this rebuild.

Read the conditions, if Calgary is selling it is extremely likely Montreal ends up with Florida's 2025 1st which will almost certainly be a late pick
