It will be tight but this keeps Tampas core intact , and Will leave Yzerman With 3-4 years of a Stellar Team adding draft picks, while calling up elite prospects. With still more to come in later years in the pipeline. I believe this will be similar to what Yzerman will do as it makes sense, and after those 3-4 years just trade Bishop and possibly an aged Boyle, Fillpulla, Callahan or Garrison. Seems like a perfect plan. As there is still prospects like forwards, Point, Mcginn, Erne, Stephens. Defenseman, Masin, Dotchin, Blujus. Goaltenders, Wilcox, Gudlevskis , to choose from and adding more in the later years. Overall the bolts core and depth will keep them Stanley Cup Contenders for the next decade for sure.
I think you could cut the asking price on those trades in half and you'd still be overvaluing the bolts players. None of those teams would be interested in those players.
Carolinas Bottom six is ahl players, Pittsburg bottom 4d has 1 veteran Scuderi, and Coburn has 1 year left which means he's a good rental which Pittsburg's gm has a history of trading for at the deadline. Florida's defensive veterans , Mitchell, Campbell are almost done they're careers , they could possibly go for a slightly younger top 4 d.
"I think you could cut the asking price on those trades in half", yes I might be asking to much; mainly I'm offering best-case scenario trades which Yzerman could get. Mainly just trying to free cap space up.
Next summer may be "The Stammertime Blues" in Tampa. Just can't see TB able to offer SS a "max" contract. Not enough cap room for SS and just as important limited money for the rest of the players. So SS will have to take quite a discount to stay in Tampa. There are few good teams that have the cap room to sign SS to Kane/Toews money, and the teams that do
like Carolina, NJ and Arizona, do they want such a big contract and would SS want to play for these non playoff teams? Wouldn't we all like to have the problem of accepting $10m and moving to another city or staying with our current employer for $ 8m a year

Carolina is cash strapped and in full rebuild mode. Giving up picks didn't make sense for them.
Florida does have two vet Defenders coming off the books next year. They're not giving up assets to acquire one (a rental?) when they can just get free agents next year.
Pit needs a RH defender. They need an inexpensive one (unless you want to take Scuderi in return). They don't need an expensive rental, especially with Maatta, Pouilot, and Dumolin needing NHL games. 0 interest.
