Hawks decline. Hall w/ 50% retention is probably worth the Boston 1st. Hawks don't take on Murray for Lilypad and Robertson.

IDK. It's a tough one. I feel like I would do this. Robertson is indeed injury prone. It's a true factor. Timmy was playing well and we just sent our only 2 (legit) RHD Propsects to BOS....sans Rinzel. I mean guys in Rockford.

Robertson has little to no trade value until he shows he can stay healthy for a while season. Lilypad is a 3rd pair guy for Hawks at least until Murphy leaves. I'm not taking Murray for a 3rd pair D man. Even if you don't think Hall 50% retained is worth #28, the residual from what he is worth still isn't enough to take Murray in my opinion.

That's fair. I look at it a bit differently. Zaitsev isn't an NHLer. I don't want to be tanking just for the sake of tanking, so I'm trying to limit his ice time. Timmy probably is going to be a 3rd pair Dman, BUT he's 24...costs $1.4M and Arb eligible. I think we can extend him on a medium term deal for a low AAV and really start to build things. Especially if a teams willing to pay for Muphy down the line too. I just think it gives us more options and Murray will be off the books next year anyway. Pick #28 straight up is pretty decent this year too.

Also fair. I think we just disagree on Lilypad's value. I'm not as high on him as you seem to be. Which is fine! Your opinions on here are always pretty solid.

Murrays contract doesn’t affect Chicago at all. They can either buy him out (400k this year and 2 mil next year against the cap) or play him this year and hope he’s a tradeable asset at the deadline or draft next year. Also, helps them get to the cap floor.

Hall 50% for 28th and murrays contract for liljegren and Robertson is pretty much what I was thinking in the deal. Could easily swap Robertson for a different prospect. I think Robertson is more slotted for a top six role which he would probably get with the hawks. I agree he doesn’t have a ton of value right now. Could be a great buy low candidate tho.
