Rumors saying Holland wants to sign Bouchard to a bridge deal (Because Holland can't manage cap) but Bouchard's camp wants a term deal and the Oilers can't do that right now with their cap issues.

Bouchard is an easy #1 pairing, only 23 and can easily begin to take over for Letang.

Time will tell, i'm guessing it's still in the mix, maybe another team but none the less.

Hawks don't need a backup. We have plenty of goaltending.

Do they? Like are they going to use an AHL guy this year? Genuine question because idk. I just see that they have Mrazek

The cap has only gone up 2 million since Ken took over. Pretty hard to manage the cap when the league doesn't ever grow. Good teams have problems managing the cap when the cap goes up 0-1.23%.

Yeah. Soderblom spent 2 years in the SHL before playing 2 years in the AHL. He had some good showings in limited NHL ice time the last couple years and has earned his NHL role as a backup with a serious opportunity to take the starting job from Mrazek. Then we have Commesso and Stauber in the AHL, Gajan, whom CHI just selected in the 2nd round, will do at least a year or two in college before moving to the AHL, and Basse is due an ELC next summer if they are planning on giving him a shot.

The Darnell Nurse Deal says otherwise. It's also going to be tough to Move Campbell to free space after the season he had. Holland just isn't a good GM lol

he's an RFA, hence why the trade is to acquire his rights. Holland wants to sign him to a bridge deal, Bouchard doesn't want that.

Is he willing to sit for the season or take a bridge deal. Good GM's know that and use their leverage especially with players like bouchard.

Why would he sit for a season?! His camp said he's not willing to take a bridge deal. So to me that means 1. the oilers figure out how to move cap (Won't be easy) and give Bouchard the deal he wants. 2. they trade him 3. He gets offersheeted by various teams and the oilers can't match b/c of cap.

only teams that can offered to offer sheet bouchard don't want to gave up their first, meaning that EDM would have trade him or Bouch would have to sign a bridge. My money is not EDM doesn't want to trade their best RD well being in a window leaving bourchard the choice he can sit out or he can play on a bridge deal, I'm betting he doesn't want to sit out, also why would Pittsburgh trade their first thier window is over.

Doesn't matter. If Bouchard goes to market (unlikely) 30 teams will outbid this offer.

Edmonton declines.

no idea how you think him sitting is an option... he's an RFA and he's 23, so if he doesn't want to sign a Bridge deal he simply won't be playing in EDM and teams will start to OS him, EDM won't be able to match most likely.

I don't think sitting is a option and I don't think that will br bourchards camps decisions, leaving only a bridge being the option. The NHL doesn't see a lot of offer sheets and the teams that can afford the cap space aren't in contention right now so they wont want to give a first to acquire him. If Edmonton trades him it will be for player that helps them win now not later.
