Description
Yamamoto is a strong forechecker that plays big for a 5’8 man, he has the speed and raw talent to be a great add for the leafs. They should 100% consider him. And yes he has a lot more quality hockey to offer than jankrok. I know Keefe loves having a shutdown line so I gave him one of the best 3rd lines for that job in the league. This is way better than kampf; mikheyev engvall :’). Keefe also loves having 2 extra dmens so I gave him that too. Overall having to trade wily might make us look weaker talent wise but we can still have a very good team and have solid prospects in the bank. Not sure what Willy is gonna go for but I would absolutely take that return. I’m confident we can move on from him and still try to achieve the ultimate goal. We need a tougher team built for playoff hockey.

  1. Nylander, William
Additional Details:
Great hockey player. But if the recent Stanley cup winning teams taught us anything is that you can’t win solely based on talent. We need a more balanced line up and Nylander is pricing himself out of TO. Moved with a 9x7 extension ideally.

OMG... LOVE LAFFS FANS!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA... you make the WORST OFFERS in the history of sports.

Barlow is worth more than Nylander alone.

Don't EVERY ask for Barlow or McGoarty.

Lowry is far more valuable to the Jets than Nylander could be as well.

You win the worst trade offer... EVER!

Number 1 rule in trading players: never sell when they’re at their lowest value and don’t buy when they’re at their highest.

Moving Robertson for little return makes no sense - he’s not a cap issue. He’s not a roster issue. He’s not a skill issue. He’s not an issue. What does it hurt to keep him, see if he can be healthy and what he can do? Worse case he can’t produce and you lose him for nothing, no harm no foul. Best case he flourishes and you have a cheap middle 6 forward with some bite to his game and can score - which is exactly the kinda players Treliving likes.

Winnipeg also isn’t trading their last 2 1st round picks for a guy that won’t sign an extension.

This is just dumb.

… Leafa fans are bad? Your comment is atrocious. Not one bit of it has any truth to it and it’s pure bias - which is worse than any Leafs comment ever made on here.

Read, it says he’d come with an extension. If he’s solely a rental his value will be lower. Now for Robertson, I simply do not see a spot for him in the bottom 6 and he doesn’t deserve a shot in the top 6. I agree that you shouldn’t trade players while their value is low. But if I’m the Gm I like the team as it is. And he simply doesn’t have his place in what I’m trying to build.

I read what you said about the extension - my point was that Nylander won’t sign in Winnipeg. It’s not the place for him.

As for Robertson, there’s at least 3 open spots in the bottom 6 he could fight for. He’s a better fit than Suter, and Yamamoto on your roster, and Kampf isn’t moving to the wing so that opens up another wing spot for him to warn.

Could very easily see the 4th line starting as a combo of: Robertson - Kampf - Lafferty which would be a 4th line that Treliving would love because it’s cost efficient and an energy line that can chip in with offence.

Robertson doesn’t fit in my plans and I don’t consider him as an option, I’m trying to build a contender and I don’t want that question mark. Kampf was given too much money and term to be stuck with 4th line players. And he has experience as a RW so he’d the one for the job. Also Robertson doesn’t deserve a top 6 chance. That has to be earned, something Yamamoto has done with the oilers being able/allowed to play with drai. He has good TK vs GV and has the experience and resume/speed to be able to support a guy like JT. And lastly. Sutter is very similar to kampf. A guy you can trust to shutdown opponents and still able to score 10-15 goals. Something Robertson can’t do! Because they aren’t the same type of players. I want to give the leafs a strong and reliable bottom 6. And an incredibly good 3rd line that can play against opposing teams top lines in the playoffs.

You are probably very right about Nylander and his ext, he will probably want a better location, but there’s not that many teams out there that can give him that kind of money
