Why do people keep buying out Stajan? It makes zero sense. Much more efficient to just bury Bouma in the AHL. Both contracts come off next year and Stajan is actually quite effective to have around for the 4th line center role. Bouma is very ineffective.

Don't love the idea of playing against Bennett down the road in the playoffs. MIN is probably saying the exact same thing about Niedereitter. Nino is the exact prototypical player that CGY's top 6 needs, but will be very difficult for CGY to extract him.

Basically this. I like the idea of getting Bennett but I don't think that this is enough for the Wild to give up Nino, especially with the draft picks coming from the Wild. Take those out and it's at least very close but I still don't know what I'd do.

I definitely wouldn't include draft picks on top of sending Nino out.
