Is that even allowed? to buyout a player and resign him in free agency same year of buyout... It feels like it shouldn't be.

Look at the market, there are either expensive options left for which we have no money, or the players are no better than Pit. Yamo is a qualified, proven, and most importantly native player for us. I have a feeling that Yamo left unfinished business here. For a million, this is a completely suitable option, let him show his need in a competitive environment, if he fails, then you can safely lower him to the AHL.

Yamo was traded without deduction, he was bought out by an outside organization, as a member of his team, Edmonton has nothing to do with the buyout. At the moment, Yamo has the status of an unrestricted free agent and has the right to sign a contract with any of the 32 teams in the league, including Edmonton, I don’t see any problems here.

yeah possibly. He would do best going to a team that can give him top 6 role. But around 1 M depending on interest is reasonable.
