Nash has 0 space on the right side for Petry. And taking on his contract is not something we'd do for a cheap pay

TB isn't spending that much on a backup goalie and before you give me the "were taking Myers back" counter he's 250k against the cap and can't see TB spending more than 900k on a backup.

I mean I get the Myers point, but even if it’s not DeSmith they need to get an actual backup for Vasy at some point. He’s getting older and the mileage is going to start taking its tool if they don’t get him down to 55-60ish starts. He’s the best goalie in the world but they all have their physical limits. Ben Bishop should be a firsthand cautionary tale for Tampa on what a quality backup means.

Louis Domingue set a team record for consecutive wins as Vasilevskiy's backup. This year if TBs point percentage was what it was when Brian Elliot played they would still have been a playoff team. Besides Vasilevskiy got a light schedule this year only 6 playoff games instead of 20+
