My personal opinion is that CBJ should just sit on what they have rn and play wait and see, but Nylander extended on that contract for that price is seriously temping. Roslovic and Peeke are just expendable pieces imo, so a 1st (in a year the team would hope to he good) and 2 2nds plus change feels like a great value for them.

The only thing that could put in into question is how confident CBJ would be in KJ/Nylander's ability to play center. If one or the other is good for it, I love the move. If not, things get a little dicey where you'll have an extremely over qualified winger on the 3rd line and a likely under qualified 2C, but it's not the worst.

On Toronto's end, I'd imagine they'd ask for 1 or 1.5 mil retention on Roslovic (not 100%, but I believe CBJ could afford it after dealimg Peeke and taking back Nylander). That'd help Toronto out either letting them keep Roslovic as a cheaper 3rd liner or makes flipping him to another team like you did here way easier.

Willy has been a center his whole life. He might be a bit rusty but he’ll get up to speed and fast. He’ll be 50% on his face offs. He’s very fast with a good active stick. And if anything you’ll have a much more involved Nylander if he goes back to C. I’m a big fan of his, but it’s time to part ways

Peeke was minus 41. I know it's not a good stat but when you are a defensive defenceman and get scored on all the time, are you really any good at defence? Spoiler, he isn't
