Ducks fans will say no, but that trade isn't too bad. CGY trade is okay if Calgary needs to shed cap after Hanifin leaves (depending on the trade).

Are Leafs fans just part of a hive mind? I just don’t get it how every single Leafs AGM on here does this EVERY time.

The Ducks don’t do this. They don’t do this for Terry alone. They don’t do this for Zellweger alone. If they want Nylander they’ll wait a year until he hits the market which looks more and more likely

OH LAFFS... Here we go again. As a Jets fan, we have seen a LOT of LAFFS fans trying to fleece the Jets in a trade. Before it was Marner for everything the Jets have.

Now trying Nylander on the Ducks for their All-Star, an amazing young kid and a pick.

As all Ducks fans have already stated... no.

Oh... the Jets pass as well... HARD PASS. We don't need more D, especially an old D near the end of his shelf life in hockey.

Troy Terry is the Ducks best forward who will be paid far less for Nylander and Zellweger was ranked a top 5 defensive prospect in the entire league. There’s a zero percent chance Anaheim even considers this.

I’m sure the ducks have considered Nylander. A 1st line caliber forward that can also help Leo transition to the NHL. It could help speed up the rebuild.

Troy terry is a top 6 fw on the majority of nhl teams I don’t see how the value of this trade is so far apart.

I can also see that Calgary trade being spot on lol.

Not using a retention spot on Barabanov, that’s ridiculous.

On dobber hockey for defence prospects zell is rank #12
I don’t think his value is as high as you think it is.

I recently found out that ducks fans really value zell when I proposed a Hanifin trade.

There has been plenty of draft busts with better numbers than zell. The ducks have a lot of prospects and most might not work out, if I had a chance to acquire an elite roster player that could help my team out for the next 5-8 years I’d be all over it. Nylander or anyone of that caliber. At the cost of a top 6 fw and prospect I think it would be something to consider.

The Ducks have a long history of developing great defensemen with the exception of Jacob Larsson. The Ducks have drafted and developed Shea Theodore, Brandon Montour, Hampus Lindholm, Marcus Pettersson, Cam Fowler, and Josh Manson. None of these players had nearly the juniors that Zellweger and Mintyukov had. So with proper development they’re likely to be stars.

And what makes you think Nylander extends in Anaheim. He could very well walk next year. So once again, the Ducks wouldn’t make this trade.

Nylander is a great player and would fit well on the Ducks, but the Ducks aren’t trading top prospects in their system AND their best forward for someone who could easily walk next offseason.

All of those yet players hit their stride after they left the club. They may have drafted them but you can’t credit all their progress and development from their short time in Anaheim lol.

Fowler, Lindholm, and Manson all had over 400 games with Anaheim. Montour around 150 games. Only ones under 100 were Theodore and Petterson.
