Cat and a 1st for 50% retention is at least interesting.

OTT would keep Joseph if they really were going to move a winger for MORE high price defenseman.

I don't really understand the Lebanc for Myers trade from the Canucks POV. I did hear that as the rumour also but why would the Canucks want Lebanc. He's an undersized winger who doesn't defend. Sure Myers isn't good either and we save a mil in cap but that just doesn't seem anywhere near enticing enough.

I'm thinking more like adding a 3rd to him for someone like SJ, Ari, Ana, Chi, to just take him. I think he has value at the trade deadline too.

There's zero chance in hell of DeBrincat signing long term with San Jose, They're in a massive rebuild phase plus he doesn't want to play in a high tax State like California.
