Drury's gonna want a top half 1st rounder coming back for Laf at the very least.

I wouldn't take Anderson off your hands for free. You want a bottom 6 guy plus a 1st for him?

I would consider that if I was GM for NYR. Both BOS and CGY is going to have tough years and those picks both can be top 5 picks. I like Beck also. And Laffy on the 3rd line is killing his development.

You would have to attach multiple firsts to the Detroit deal in order for Detroit to consider.

As reported by Lebrun, MTL was already offered a 1st for Anderson:

That's cool. I don't change where I stand. Not a fit for Detroit.

Detroit isn’t in a position to send out a first unless it is for top line help.

This is how LeBrun gets his connections. He drops favors for GMs to set the market. In a world with cap shortages, and honestly simply better players than Anderson, this makes zero sense. Anderson is not worth his contract.

True that sometimes false rumors are going through journalists to boost the trade market, but ever so slighly. Is he worth a 2nd ++ or a 1st+? The bottom line is that the thruth is somewhere in between, he's not a capdump at all and a lot of teams would be interested.

He costs 5.5 for 4 more years. Vrana is just outright a better player on a similar contract. No one took him for free. The cap world changes things. No reasonable GM is taking that cap hit on for that player for a first+

Nice cherrypicking with Vrana. Anderson isn't a coke addict, which helps his value tremendously lol

Anyway, I trust Lebrun over AmeriCanadian....

Pacciorretty traded for nothing. MAF traded for nothing. Bjorkstrand traded for less than a first. Burns traded for almost nothing. Kane traded half retained for less than a first. I don't need to cherry pick, there's a million examples of it in today's nhl.
