Obviously Manson will not be IR all the time or to start, but I think it's safe to show it as a possible lineup option.

I actually like the d pairings. Girard and Toews had a lot of success together and complimented each other and I’ll be honest I just want to see Byram Makar .

It would be wild if meyers was a capable top 6 player this year, here's to hoping!

It would be a huge leap for him. I'd honestly be happy if he was a capable 4th liner.

What's the point of adding Boqvist if he's not in the lineup? Just insurance if Foudy and Meyers don't work?

So you are saying you are happy then? Cause Meyers is already a capable 4th liner. With improved finishing, he is a 3rd liner.

i'm sure he will be fine, it will just take some seasoning. Probily tough from going to the top player playing in all scenarios on the NCAA team and pretty much the ahl level as well to playing 7 mins a night with the big team, to just try to bring energy.

Really? We had a few journeymen that outperformed him pretty easily. He looked downright lost in a lot of games last year. Not trying to be a hater, he deserves a shot to stick in the lineup and needs time, but I wouldn't say he's close to 3rd yet.

When looking at just Forwards, his Corsi% for the regular season was 9th among Avs regulars and is on ice xGF was 5th among Avs regulars. His on ice actual Goal% was near the bottom. He was extremely unlucky with actual outcomes, but was by no means lost.

His underlying statistics point to him being 3rd line center at the NHL level if he can improve his finishing. Otherwise he is a legit 4th line center that should generate more positive outcomes than negative ones.

Yeah, his underlying numbers are positive. They’ll need to translate to production for him to be a consistent 4th line addition at this point. I hope they do. He should get more opportunities to settle in over the course of this season, and I’m all for rotating him in, but there are currently better, affordable options to center the 4th.

Exactly. I want Foudy and Myers to work out great, but that also goes for Olausson. It would be nice to see OC take that next step as well. However, not having the depth to fall back on killed the Avs last year when they were slapping lines together and hoping that the talent complimented the other players. That said, I think it would be pretty easy to work with having a couple of middle-six guys that could fill in or dominate the AHL, depending on the needs of the NHL club during any given week. Also, I meant to swap Wood and Meyers, but I missed it before publishing.
