And how many years have the Leafs fallen flat on their faces? Maybe not being smart with the cap and running razor thin balance sheets is not the way to win a cup? 🤷

I guess Tampa doing the same didn't help them eh? Or Vegas? Or literally every top team that runs close to the cap. You really don't get the irony of your argument do you?

With Josh Bailey, the Hawks bought a 2nd round pick for 2.33 million (his total cost with the buyout to the Hawks). You are asking to the Hawks to pay 6 million dollars (since they can't buy Murray out) for a pair of 4th rounders as in not going to happen. I get not wanting to pony up a 1st, but that is the value it will take to move 6 million in salary (ask your GM about Monohan). I also get looking at other options of which a buyout of Murray is probably the best one.

Why does everyone in ACGM comments purposefully ignore that Murray’s salary is already retained by the Senators? You’re not spending 6M on him. Get the math right and try again

What is the word on Abruzzese? Is he NHL ready or is he capped out at fringe AHL NHL guy?

He's 24 years old undersized forward who was a 4th round pick. His value sort of dropped off a cliff after missing the 20-21 season to have hip surgery.
I'd be quite surprised if he ever became an NHL regular.

Moving Murray won't be that easy, and the proof of that is the fact that he's still on your roster. The buyout is coming.

The Leafs used 39 players last year total. Those 3 spots are gonna be used up pretty quickly. Bad management to not carry "scratch" players. They are playing with fire. But alas, using the Leafs history, we can't expect them to make smart roster decisions. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

all im saying is you said they HAVE to nove someone. i just says history shows you are wrong. If they should move someone or not is a different question.

Yeah, you guys are right about that. Learn something new every day. I thought the 23 man roster was mandatory. Being a Caps fan, all I ever see is 23 man rosters. After research I see 20 is ok. Can't find how 19 is ok tho. But I do see TOR only had 19 opening night last year. Can anyone point me to the offical rules on this?

Correlation does not equal causation. He could get moved there are a few teams that need goaltending still. Murray is a good goalie when healthy, despite what you vultures on here say.

Oh for sure. He's great. You should keep him for next seasons playoff run, he can watch from the bench again.

So if Matt Murray has an 8 million dollar salary and the Sens are retaining 25% how is an acquiring team NOT paying 6 million? I'll hang up and wait for your math lesson..

Convince your fellow leafs ACGM mob since I see 15 posts a day trading Nylander to the Canes for some ridiculous package including Pesce.

    Quoting: RipNasty
90% of those are not leaf fans, they are trolls looking to fight leaf fans or your crew offering Pesce for Nylander in a 1 for 1. Knowing full well it's a slam dunk win for you.

Trolling is a behavioral problem in society, it is not a conspiracy, you really have no concept of what a conspiracy is. Still running with this bit isn't a good look, you may want to find a different route here.

It’s another conspiracy reference, since that’s all you seem to do. Which is once again referenced in this very thread. Didn’t think I had to explain it to ya, but happy to educate!
