You can stop with the Brannstrom in the deal proposals.
They're both listed on the site now.

both of the players are back on the roster.
Brannstrom doesn't make sense unless we're sending Albert Johansson the other way, too.

Not sure if the Sens would take Veleno with the second player spot. Dorian and DJ seemed pretty hard set at having KAstelic as 4C he is over 50% in the dot for his career, and 6'4.

Will be interesting to see if they do move BRanstrom, at his cap hit he is a very valuable player, especially for a 2nd PP slot. The return on adding him to the trade would have to be higher than Veleno imo, who has had some injury problems.

Debrincat screwed the team over by overplaying his hand thinking there would be a lineup of teams wanting him this offseason for a 8x9 deal. He didn't read the room right, or he needs to fire his agent.
At this point thou with the prospect pool getting close and the cap situation and a healthy Norris coming back and Grieg inserted into the lineup, I think they will be better without him and his cap hit.
The return isn't going to be great, but thats fine and I have no problem with Dorian taking his time to get the best offer he can.

For me there are two best-case scenarios.

Det - Berggen and 2024 BOS 1st

NYI - Wahlstrom RFA rights and 1st, likely have to include another player as cap movement for islanders who sens can flip or bury in minors.

I mean, DeBrincat has no trade clause. He can be traded to any team. Re-signing; that's different.
I find it hard to fault DeBrincat with any of this; he's not making the trades, Pierre is.
Certainly would be beneficial to the Senators to say he'll re-sign with any team, but I mean that's his choice.

If I'm Stevie I'm doing anything in my power to not give up a B≤ prospect, Berggren, and Rasmussen. Don't think it's possible, but that's what I imagine he's doing.

What injury problems has Veleno had? He played 81 games last year and 66 the year before after being a call up from GR. He hasn't missed any time in the NHL yet really

Also the Wings don't want Brannstrom. We have a million LD and Seider and Ghostisbhere for our powerplays

The problem is that the Sens will get nowhere near the trade value for him if they just trade him for rights, if it is a sign and trade then the trade value is much higher.
The problem that has happened, is that his value and what teams are willing to pay him with the current cap situation around the league has dropped a lot, and he isn't willing to budge on the deal. There were a few reports that said he fully expected multiple teams to offer him 8 x 9 per. No one wants to do that not even the sens.

I saw a few rumors already that the wing's offer to him was 5 years $7M per and he won't sign it. I know he has a new born and wants to make as much as possible, but unfortuntualty his value has dropped a lot and there isn't that kind of money in the system anymore for him.

I won't believe anything until I see something materialize, but I'll be pissed if Yzerman doesn't get DeBrincat because he was too stingy.

Well if you look from Steve Y's point of view why would you overspend on a long-term deal, the wings are stacked with prospects and a good Vet core around them. They can pass on Debrincat and be fine growing the team into a contender. Now signing him would help a lot, but if I was Stevey Y I would not sign Debrincat for more than Larkin.

Oh most certainly, and I do not expect the contract to be more than Larkin's, but if DeBrincat wants like 8x8 I'm all over that.
