Ottawa and Boston both decline, for the same reason. You're offering a cap dump with a mediocre at best prospect for top players.

What is the incentive for either team to do this? Debrusk cap hit in this scenario is the same as Palmeri. Sens don't want JGP back with his terrible cap hit (we've moved on from JGP too). Sens are overloaded with LD prospects who are better and younger too.

Not even close for Alex DeBrincat, Very doubtful that Ottawa can afford to take on JG Pageau if they're wanting to sign Vladimir Tarasenko. And there's no way in hell that DeBrincat is taking 8 years $8M out on Long Island. Like i said before the 8 years $8.5M Bo Horvat deal is the very least he'd accept.

None of that makes sense for Boston. No need/want for Palmieri. Wahlstrom is not that much younger than JDB. And the extension you sign him to is affordable for Boston eliminating the need to trade him at all
