Sure, thats not the point of the post tbh. I am sure someone will want Casey as a backup. I thought maybe Blues would want insurance since Hofer is still waivers exempt.

Your title was “a little different” and then you proceeded to post the same DeSmith to St. Louis that 100 other Pens fans have. The only way the Blues are taking DeSmith is if you take Krug. Neither of those are happening…

That is literally the smallest detail of this post. The main point was the other deals.

Not really much in that deal to interest a rebuilding Sharks team imo.

I feel like its a relatively close return to what they got for Meier and they dont have much power with Karlsson requesting a trade and having a NMC.

Even so I would think it likely gets beaten with pieces they'd be interested in from somewhere else. All depends on how many teams are in on him and the offers I guess. Two 30 plus year olds that are basically cap dumps in this scenario, 4 mil in retention, a hit and miss 22 yr old G prospect for a team that has three 22-24 yr olds, and a 23 yr old D 'prospect' the jury is still out on for a team that is loaded with LD prospects, plus the picks. The picks are really the only thing with any value to the Sharks. I'd argue most of the rest has negative value to them.
