Oh dang yeah tied for 10th at 3.34

Yeah I got ahead of myself because second best to Makar is like drasaitel to McDavid

At the same time my point is also that Nylander can be a good teams #1 option upfront also I believe, ofcourse on Colorado he's not #1 but he would be great the #2 option

Toews is great I think he's better than Reilly but I also think they're in the same tier as #1 options on the backend meaning only the most elite are above them yeah I guess I can agree this trade is probably swayed in favour of Toronto but depends on how you rate lehkonen I'd have to say

I think Toews for Nylander is pretty close after the points you made I was a bit off I still think Nylander is more valuable he's in the top elite of the league considering he's being compared with Matthews, Marner and Toews is in the second tier of the good defensemen but it's close Toews is very valuable

That's where I stand now lol

Nylander wouldn't be the #2 option on the Avs even. He'd be behind at least Nate & Mikko. I'd argue that in value to the team he might not even be 3 or 4, so that would make him a luxury that they simply can't afford. Be nice to have, just unaffordable in the cap era and especially with it having been flat. That doesn't mean that he isn't good it just proves the point of how much value Toews has compared to Nylander for the Avs. The Avs need to focus on all round depth not another star player that they couldn't afford to re-sign.

He'd be the 3rd scoring option. But as far as overall value from the forward group, I would have Val and a healthy Landy ahead of him. And his lack of effort defensively would drive Bednar crazy.

Exactly my point. Value to the team isn't just in the personal scoring column. If guys like Landy got a point for each time they were the guy who took the body in the corner to knock the puck loose (without getting a stick on it) for the likes of Mikko and Nate, their 'value' would increase exponentially. That's before we even get into 'intangibles' or defensive prowess in the case of Val.

Easy decline for the Avs for the reasons stated by others above. It's not even close. If Toews is willing to do that contract they'd sign him to it and keep him and Lehky.

All the best with the recovery btw!

Thanks for the feedback and the kind words!
