Isles aren’t actively shopping him, but if they were then I would assume they r looking for a Newhook type package so this isn’t a bad offer at all. Of course, any trade would be contingent on a corresponding move to acquire someone like Nylander.

True. I don't think Wahlstrom is washed up but is sort of like Kakko doing things at his own pace but has more promise lately. Just needs to stay healthy. I only traded him to EDM just cause playing with McDavid would be insane for him. He was exceptional status right?

LOL, more grit than Hyman and Kane? Wahlstrom would be a 3rd liner at best in Edmonton.
Well I don't think more than Kane but Oliver would work well with EDM on the top line or second. That's a lot coming from my mouth since I dislike EDM cause I'm a Flames fan

He has a career high of 24 points. The odds of him winning a top-6 job in Edmonton are very low.

Wahlstrom is a guy you have to look at points/60 for - he was consistently buried by Trotz and Lambert, for whatever reason.
Perfect example is his last full season (21-22): first 35 GP, he puts up a 10-8-18 getting 3rd line TOI (13:19) - basically a 23-19-42 pace over 82 GP, perfectly acceptable for a 3rd liner. Shot 10.5%, so there's potentially a little to unlock there if he can live up to his draft pedigree as a goal scorer.
His last 38 GP: 3-3-6 getting 10:54 per night. Shooting percentage drops to 4.8% so there's a combination of bad luck and bad linemates turning him into Radek Faksa 2.0. Even worse, this is the season that the Isles finished 9th in the conference, 16 points back of the last playoff spot - but despite clearly being in "playing out the string" mode he only got 9:23 per night in April.
I fully expect that the Isles will trade him at some sort of loss and once he hooks up with a coach that actually tries to work to his strengths, he'll be a 25-30 goal scorer easy.

“Wahlstrom doesn’t do anything with the ice time he’s given”
At this point I want him traded if he’s not going to at least get middle 6 ice time.
